The school has two primary channels of communication, namely the weekly newsletter and the homework books
AFTER SCHOOL CARE CENTRE
The school offers an After School Care Centre. The centre is open until 16:30 in the afternoon. The Care Centre will not be open on weekends, public holidays and school holidays. The After Care Centre will ONLY be open until 15:00 on the last school day before long week-end and school holidays.
REFRESHMENTS
The school does not provide lunch and other refeshments to the children in the afternoon. Parents have to provide lunch, snacks and cold drinks for their children for the afternoon.
STUDY
During the afternoon, children get the opportunity to do their homework during the homework period. This is not a formal teaching period, but the teacher/s on duty will help the children if they need assistance.
Please check the homework your child has done in the evening to confirm all homework has been done.

FINANCES
If it is necessary for your child to attend the After Care Centre, please complete an enrolment form.
This form is available from the Admin Office. Corrosponding fees will also apply to the After Care Centre.

REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADE 2 - 3
The following items will be required for the school year:
UNIFORM
Learners are only allowed to wear the authorized school uniform to school and other official school activities. Please ensure that your child wears the correct uniform.
Details regarding the uniform are set out in the Code of Conduct section of this page.
SCHOOL CASE
Please purchase a strong suitable suitcase with compliments, big enough to take an A4 book. Canvas bags or other bags are not sufficiently strengthened will not be allowed. Suitcases can also be purchased from the Finance office or Parktown Stores.
FOOD
Please pack your child a lunchbox with healthy food. Please avoid giving your child money for food at school. Children rarely buy food - they prefer sweets!
This is not only unhealthy, but also impairs thier ability to concentrate in class - whether they have unhealthy food or no food with sweets in its place.
STATIONARY
Stationary packages will be available from the school. These packages will contain all the stationary learners will need for the year.
Lists of the contents and prices of the packages will be available from the Finance office from November 2013
Please contact Mrs. Williams to enquire.
Alternativly you can use the list to buy the stationary yourself, or if you just need to top on items for your child.
